The most common 75 Hard question I get as a nutrition coach isn’t about the workouts — it’s "what do I eat?" The program tells you to follow a diet but doesn’t tell you which one, and most women pick something so restrictive they’re miserable by day 5. So here’s the 75 Hard meal plan I give my clients over 30: high-protein, whole-food, and built so the rest of the family eats the same dinner. No separate mom meals.
Why You’ll Love This Meal Plan
- Works for 75 Hard, 75 Medium, and 75 Soft.
- Around 120–150g of protein a day without tracking every gram.
- Family dinners — the kids eat what you eat.
- Five-minute breakfasts, because you have a workout to get to.
- Full grocery list with Amazon staples.
The 75 Hard Diet Rules (and My Rules)
Official rule: pick a diet, follow it for 75 days, no alcohol, no cheat meals. My rules for women over 30:
- Protein at every meal — a palm-sized serving minimum.
- Produce at every meal — a fist of vegetables or fruit.
- Carbs stay — you’re doing two workouts a day. Rice, potatoes, oats, fruit are fuel, not the enemy.
- No alcohol, no "cheat" meals — but a slice of birthday cake at your kid’s party is not a cheat meal if you planned for it. Decide your rule on day 1 and write it down.
Five-Minute 75 Hard Breakfasts
- Protein smoothie: frozen berries, spinach, protein powder, milk
- Greek yogurt bowl with berries and a tablespoon of granola

Grab-and-Go 75 Hard Lunches
- Rotisserie chicken, bagged salad, avocado, everything-bagel seasoning
- Cottage cheese bowl with cucumber, tomato, and hot honey

Family Dinners the Kids Will Actually Eat

- Slow-cooker pulled chicken on buns for them, over a salad for you
- High-protein pasta (chickpea or lentil pasta) with jarred marinara and ground beef
- Salmon, rice, and roasted broccoli — 20 minutes start to finish

- Chicken stir-fry with frozen veggies and a low-sugar sauce
Snacks That Keep You Out of the Pantry
- Protein bars (keep one in the car)
- Beef jerky or turkey sticks
- Hard-boiled eggs
- Apple with peanut butter

75 Hard Meal Plan FAQ
How much protein should women eat on 75 Hard?
Roughly 0.7–1g per pound of goal body weight. For most of my clients that’s 120–150g a day, which this plan hits without a tracking app.
Can I do 75 Hard on a low-carb diet?
You can, but with two daily workouts I don’t recommend it for women. Energy and sleep tank fast. Keep your carbs.
Is coffee allowed on 75 Hard?
Yes. Just watch the sugary creamers — they count as part of your diet.
What about postpartum or breastfeeding?
Don’t restrict. Add 300–500 calories, keep protein high, and do 75 Soft instead of Hard.
